· Mind Over Mattress – The earlier you get out of bed, the more you can get done throughout the work day. Productive people usually start their day extra early and get their morning rituals out of the way as soon as possible so that they can concentrate on their work. Waking up early also gives you more time during the day to do the things you need to do and leaves time for you to do the things you want to do.
· Manage Your Time Wisely – Time management is key to increasing productivity. When making your schedule, make sure you include an estimate of how much time you would need to complete a task. This way, you would have a realistic plan of what you can accomplish in one day.
· Schedule Your “Distractions” – There’s nothing wrong with checking up with social media or catching up with the latest news during the workday, but most of the time, these activities tend to eat up more time than you would want. By blocking off some time for these distractions, you are able to keep your focus on the things that matter.
· Build Momentum – Starting your day with large tasks will drain you of your energy really fast. It’s much easier to just get the small things out of the way and focus on the larger tasks later on. This way, you are not just saving energy, you are also making sure that all the tasks – big or small – get done.
· Rest – Nothing makes a person more unproductive than being burned out. Know when to call it a day and take vacations whenever possible.
