How about writing about saving on groceries or home utilities? The savings may not be as huge as buying a house but the value of the savings is just as important, regardless of the amount. Small things really matter.
Look into the opportunity of getting big on small stuff – groceries, gas, insurance – those small things you cannot do away with. If you spend less on these small stuffs, they are huge in the long run.
Next, take note of repeat activities such as flipping the light switch, travelling to and fro the grocery store and eating out. Find a way to trim a bit and you end up with huge savings. So if you flip the switch more than a dozen times each day, think about changing the light bulb. If you visit the grocery once a week, maybe you can do it every other week.
Small things add up to much savings. So never despise those small stuffs.
