1. Advertise your garage sale. Make at least 20 signs that tell your neighbors about the garage sale. Use social networks to advertise the sale online.
2. Make an inventory of all available items. Determine which of your stuff should be disposed and which should be kept. Go through your house from top to bottom.
3. Determine the value of the items. Make a research. Use the information on Craigslist or eBay. You don’t want to sell an item too low than its real value, or vice versa.
4. Make the most of your time. Group together items according to price, or according to kind of merchandise. Let your customer have enough space to move around.
5. Involve your children. Use them to sell toys and other kids’ stuff.
